A.D. Price ComeUnity Garden is located at 43 Mortimer Street, Buffalo, NY 14204. This Garden was started in May 2016. We primarily had Collard Greens, Kale, Swiss Chard, Yellow & Plum Tomatoes, various hot peppers, Corn, herb plants, Summer Squash, Zucchini & Watermelon.
An interesting fun fact: The Original site of A.D Price Housing Development was the first to specifically be made to house African Americans in the 1960’s. As the families came to know each other, a group that became part of the Resident Council, began creating friendly garden competition. I found out, after becoming the Lead Gardener, that A.D. Price was the foundation for what many now know as Buffalo’s Garden Walk. I’m Excited to ReStart the Garden Tradition!
