Our church (Unitarian Universalist Church of Buffalo) has a large garden at the corner of Elmwood and Ferry. A few years ago we decided to pave the area next to the church on Elmwood as a small parking lot for our staff. The city told us we had to have a new sewer entrance in the driveway so that the water that drained from our paved area could go into the storm sewer. Or we could build a water garden so that the water would drain into the garden rather than the storm sewer.
We decided to build a water garden. The water garden is a lovely addition to our property.
