SUMMER 2017: BAF Youth + Family Workshops
Discover how architecture impacts the way we live, work and play!
The Buffalo Architecture Foundation, in conjunction with our partners, proudly present youth and family workshops for citizens of Buffalo and the Greater WNY area. Participants will explore Buffalo’s built environment through hands-on activities and engaging dialogue for the whole family!
Junior Explorers + BAF
Do you love to create, design, experiment, & explore? Join us for this fast-paced workshop where you’ll get a chance to step into an architect’s shoes and design your own new building. First, we’ll take a walk around Symphony Circle to learn about building designs, uses, & what sorts of buildings make up a community. Then you’ll get a chance to work through the design process & use LEGOs to build a model of a building you think would help to complete the community around Symphony Circle! Bring your creative ideas & get ready to have fun!
This workshop is led by a specially-trained Explore Buffalo docent & a volunteer architect from the Buffalo Architecture Foundation.
